Frequently Asked Questions

I photograph architecture, interior design, hospitality spaces, and crafted objects. This includes residential and commercial interiors, retail and restaurant environments, hotels, studios, and editorial-style documentation for designers, architects, and creative teams.

What types of projects do you photograph?

I’m based in the Pacific Northwest and regularly work throughout Washington and Oregon. I also travel for projects across the U.S. and internationally when the scope and timeline support it.

Where are you based, and do you travel?

Clients include interior designers, architects, hospitality brands, creative studios, developers, and makers. Some projects are commissioned directly, while others are produced in collaboration with agencies or editorial teams.

Who typically hires you?

My process begins with understanding the intent behind the work — material choices, spatial flow, light, and use. From there, I photograph with restraint and clarity, focusing on how a space feels to move through rather than over-stylizing or over-directing it.

How do you approach photographing a space?

Yes. Pre-production is an important part of the process. This may include shot planning, schedule coordination, and alignment around goals for the imagery so the shoot day runs efficiently and intentionally.

Do you help with shot planning or pre-production?

Yes. Select projects include motion or short-form video when it supports the work. Photography and video can be commissioned together or independently, depending on the needs of the project.

Do you offer both photography and video?

Final images are delivered digitally in high-resolution and web-optimized formats. Usage, licensing, and delivery details are discussed upfront so expectations are clear on both sides.

How are images delivered?

Availability varies, but booking several weeks in advance is recommended — especially for larger or multi-day projects. Editorial or time-sensitive work can sometimes be accommodated with shorter notice.

How far in advance should a project be booked?

Yes. I frequently collaborate with agencies, studios, and producers, working within established creative direction and workflows while contributing thoughtfully to the overall process.

Do you work with agencies and creative teams?

The work is created with editorial standards in mind — clarity, composition, and restraint — which helps projects translate well across portfolios, press, and brand platforms. Publication outcomes depend on the outlet and submission process.

Are your images suitable for editorial or publication use?

The best place to start is a brief conversation about the project, goals, location, and timeline. From there, I’ll outline an approach that fits the scope and intent of the work.
