Project Overview

This project documents a condo in downtown Seattle’s Millennium Tower for Heritage Realty. Designed by Olson Kundig Architects and furnished with pieces from Paola Lenti, the space sits high above the city, shaped by vertical scale, material detail, and its relationship to the surrounding skyline. The photography needed to communicate how the residence is experienced in addition to layout.

Modern interior with black wooden cabinet, staircase, glass sliding doors, and a purple chair in a minimalistic space.
Modern balcony with four colorful chairs around a fire pit with wood, overlooking city skyscrapers.

Spatial Experience

The work focused on lighting and spatial experience. Light management played a big role in shaping reflections from adjacent buildings and large expanses of glass. Careful compositions in both still and motion were used selectively, allowing the space to unfold without overstating it. This approach allowed for discovery and fostered a sense of possibility while walking the site.

Modern living room with large windows, a white sofa with pillows, a fireplace, a framed black-and-white photograph, hardwood floors, a wooden dining table with chairs, and sheer curtains.

Intent & Approach

Movement through the space is defined by openness and height. Two-story windows pull the city inward, shifting the atmosphere as the day changes. Materials and furnishings anchor the scale, creating moments of pause within the larger volume of the space.

Interior view of a modern apartment with a large window showing a cityscape with tall buildings and a lion sculpture on the building exterior. Inside, there is a black and white long-haired dog lying on a chair near a table with a bowl of food. The room has light-colored curtains and a minimalistic decor.
A view of a classic architectural building with a pointed roof and decorative details visible on the side of the building. In the background, there are modern high-rise buildings with multiple windows. The photo is taken from behind a beige curtain.

Outcome

Modern living room with large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking city buildings and sky, featuring white wall, wooden floor, black and glass furniture, and a cozy chair with faux fur throw.

The imagery supported listing, advertising, and social use for the client, with select photographs later shared by Paola Lenti Japan and Inform Studio (now Mr. Studio). The work lives across web and print, extending beyond real estate into architectural and design contexts.
